Upcoming Events
There are a lot of exciting things going on in the Declarative Language World right now! So … I wanted to take this Sunday to fill in you in on some upcoming events and resources. These might be great for you … or maybe (just maybe!) there is someone in your life that you would like to share our way of thinking with. Pass along these opportunities, and our community will keep growing!
January/February 2022 (Right now! )
Education Chapter Chat Podcast
Cari Ebert and Mike McLeod are two speech language pathologists who are enthusiastic about education reform! They are discussing DL Handbook and CR Handbook on their weekly podcast, Education Chapter Chat, and have invited me to join in the fun! You can hear us talk about the books, chapter by chapter, on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, or on Instagram @cariebertseminars. And even better, if you want to join the conversation live, hop onto Cari’s IG page each Monday at 8pm ET!
It is also definitely worth going back to previous podcasts to hear them discuss other thought-provoking books such as How Children Succeed, Finnish Lessons, and Most Likely to Succeed.
February 2022
Decoding Behavior Summit
I am excited to be a part of the Decoding Behavior Summit hosted by Sarah Wayland and Penny Williams. This FREE online event begins Friday, February 11th, 2022, and runs for 3 days. This Summit takes a humanistic perspective on behavior — you can honor a child’s neurodivergence and improve challenging behavior. There is a stellar lineup of experts on behavior, parenting, and neurodevelopmental diagnoses, and I am honored to be part of it. You can learn more about this Summit and grab your free spot through this link!
March 2022
Declarative Language 8-week Workshop
Our next 8-week workshop starts on March 3rd. This is always such a powerful experience for me and my co-facilitator and fellow RDI Consultant, Lizz Ramirez! We love learning along with parents, caregivers, teachers & therapists, in an intimate group setting where we guide participants toward greater comfort and confidence in using declarative language. We would love to meet you too! Details are here, but please reach out if you have any questions at all.
You can also read participant reflections on the workshop here and here.
And beyond….
Bright & Quirky Child Summit 2022
I’ve been invited to be a part of the next Bright & Quirky Child Summit! As I learn more, I’ll keep you posted on the details and dates of the Summit so you can sign up for this free event as well. But, in the meantime, here is information from the 2021 Summit to give you an idea of the content and conversations. (Again!) I am honored to be among some of the very people I love learning from each day.
Have a great week!
