Gratitude and Declarative Language
I am reminded this time of year how well gratitude and declarative language go together. We use our episodic memory to remember all the times people have been kind or helpful to us, to recognize all the ways we are fortunate, to appreciate the people closest to us, and to embrace all the small but meaningful moments that have made us smile.
We then express our thanks for these things using any number of declarative statements β which allow others to see our intentions, understand our perspective, and recognize our emotions.
This week, I would like to take this time to express my own gratitude to all of you! I am grateful π·πππππππ‘ππ£π πΏππππ’πππ π»πππππππ was published this past year, but more importantly I am grateful that you all have read it and shared it with others.

β’ I am also thankful to everyone who has supported me as I wrote and published Declarative Language Handbook.
β’ I am grateful for all of you who follow this page and share our posts.
β’ I appreciate when you like/love/laugh or comment on these posts and our videos (and the boys do too!).
And for the future - I am grateful for this community because I know that we together will make a difference in the world by teaching others that small shifts in our language can make a huge difference for individuals with social learning differences.
Thank you so much and have a great week!
