Declarative Language Drop-In Night
I have been wanting to create a low key, intimate space for parents, caregivers, and professionals to come and ask questions, share stories, learn more about how to apply declarative language in your day- to-day life, and learn more from each otherโs experiences.
Introducing
During this open discussion, weโll offer beginning guidance to those newer to declarative language, and regular declarative language users can bring their challenges for us to troubleshoot together. We all have so much to learn from each otherโs experiences, questions, and observations!
Here are some example questions you could bring to the Drop-In:
โข What do I do when my son does something impulsive? How should I respond?
โข My child will not get started on their piano lesson no matter how many declarative comments I make! Iโm not sure what else to do.
โข How do I get my 8-year-old to brush his teeth without nagging him?
I imagine weโll touch on ๐๐-๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ too โ because declarative language and co-regulation are important partners in supporting kids and creating a positive learning environment!
With the Drop-In, you may also submit a short (optional!) video of you using declarative language with your child. We can review your clip during the meeting to provide support, feedback and encouragement!
See this link for more details and to sign up.
I look forward to meeting some of you soon!
